Failure analysis of pipe chain conveyor accessories in operation
Many customers will not deal with some faults when using our pipe chain conveyor. Below, the pipe chain conveyor manufacturer has sorted out some analysis of the causes of pipe chain conveyor faults, which is also convenient for customers to have no way to start after encountering problems.
(1) Chain deviation:
Chain deviation is often seen in longer conveyors, which is often caused by poor installation. If the straightening of the whole machine is too large; The head wheel, tail wheel, guide rail and supporting wheel are misaligned; Each axle is not parallel; Inconsistent adjustment stroke of tail wheel can cause chain deviation. When paying attention to the above aspects, chain deviation generally will not occur or is easy to be corrected.
(2) Broken chain:
The causes of chain break are generally as follows;
1. The selection designer's calculation error or selection error, so that the selected chain can not meet the working tension during normal operation.
2. The manufacturing quality of the chain does not meet the design requirements, and the allowable load is lower than the value of model selection.
3. The split pin on the chain is worn and not replaced in time, so that the connecting pin shaft falls off and the chain is broken.
4. Large hard objects or iron parts are mixed in the conveying materials, and the chain is suddenly stuck during operation, overloaded and broken.
5. During the installation of the whole machine, the connecting flanges and guide rails between the casings move up, down, left and right due to carelessness or vibration and impact, resulting in the chain being stuck, overloaded and broken.
After the chain is broken, the chain link shall be replaced, the causes shall be analyzed, and corresponding measures shall be taken to prevent chain breaking again. In order to fundamentally prevent chain breakage, attention should be paid to each link of model selection, design, manufacturing, installation, use and maintenance.
(3) Floating chain:
In case of floating chain on the horizontal section of horizontal type and vertical type, a pressing plate can also be configured every 2m in the bearing machine slot to press the chain and force the chain not to float.
(4) Method for judging whether the chain is loose
Remove the feed inlet accessories, reach into the pipe, and lift the chain at the feed inlet of the pipe chain machine by hand. If the chain can be lifted upward, it indicates that the chain has been relaxed. If it cannot be lifted, it indicates that the chain is in a normal state. If the chain is loose, it is necessary to tighten the chain in the pipe by expanding the expansion joint.

(5) Expansion and tightening of expansion joint
1) Loosen the 4 fastening screws in the feed sprocket housing to ensure that the feed sprocket housing can move flexibly on the guide rail;
2) Then, the expansion joint shall be tightened, and the upper and lower expansion joints shall be tightened at the same time, which must be carried out synchronously. After tightening, lift the chain in the pipe again until the chain is tightened;
3) Tighten the expansion joint screws and the fixing screws of the feed sprocket housing.
(6) Removal of chain in pipe
If the expansion joint can no longer be tightened and the chain is still loose, the chain in the pipe needs to be removed. The disassembly method is to shrink the expansion joint to the end, remove one section of the chain in the pipe and then connect it, and then expand the expansion joint to make the chain in the pipe reach the expanded state.
(7) Adjustment and maintenance of chain during running in period
The new machine or the machine with overhauled chain in the pipe shall go through a running in period at the initial stage of operation. The running in period is one month, which is mainly divided into the following stages;
1) Check the chain in the pipe every day for one week (six days). If the chain is found to be loose, it needs to be tightened;
2) It is required to check the chain in the pipe every day for two weeks. If the chain is found to be loose, it shall be expanded. If the worn push plate, chain plate and cotter pin are found, the cause of the fault shall be found first and replaced after the cause is found;
3) III. check twice a week around the pipe and pay attention to the wear. If there is serious damage, find out the cause first and then replace it. If the chain in the pipe is loose, expand it in time;
4) After a month, check and repair once a week to ensure that the chain is properly tightened and the machine runs smoothly.
5) the operator should check every part of the conveyor every day, especially the chain and drive device in the pipe should be in good condition. Once damaged parts are found, they should be repaired or replaced in time.
6) During operation, a grate grid shall be set at the feeding port to strictly prevent iron blocks, steel plates, welding electrodes and sundries from mixing into the conveying mechanism, so as to avoid damaging the equipment or causing other accidents.
7) Pay attention to keep the transmission part in good operation, and open the cover plate once a week to check the service condition of the bearing.
8) When the feeder is installed in the pit, there shall be waterproof and drainage devices in the pit, and appropriate positions shall be reserved for cleaning and maintenance.
9) The air inlet and outlet of the reduction motor shall be free of any dirt and blockage. In case of significant increase of oil temperature over 60 ℃ or oil temperature over 85 ℃ and any abnormal noise during use, it shall be stopped and replaced with new oil after troubleshooting. After 150 hours of refueling operation, you should replace the oil pipe with new oil, change the oil of the heat engine and flush it, and then change the oil every six months. L-ck100, l-ck150 extreme pressure industrial gear oil or lubricating oil with better performance are generally selected as lubricating oil.
